Picking the right transmission…
Hey guys! I’m a little new to owning a civic. I recently purchased a 2000 Honda Civic Ex w/ D16y8 most standard from my research. But I want to setup the car up for highway since most of my surrounding area are highway. The OEM transmission simply will not do with 4.25 gears ratio.I know that there are different transmissions with longer gears in it put unsure of which one is best suited for my needs. Any information will be greatly appreciate.
(I’m willing to sell or trade transmissions if needed to find what I need. EX transmission 4.25 w/ original 293k mileage (471537.792 km) no grinding or slipping of gears , and OEM genuine Honda manual fluid is replaced as needed)
