Default BALL JOINTS

hey guys so i’ve got my teggy registered (dc2 vtir) and i’ve noticed a knocking sound whenever i go over bumps and stuff. i suspected maybe i needed a new shock or sway bar bushings. so i got home and jacked the car up and couldn’t hear anything from shock. however i noticed my wheel had a bit of play and noticed when i lifted the wheel up the lower ball joint bearing move a bit, they look fine but was just wondering would i need to replace them? also does the upper ball joint come out or do i have to buy a whole new arm? i do have a video of it i just don’t know how to add it.

for an old car, i would say to just replace.
upper ball joints come with new arm, but yes, ball joint can be seperated from upper arm
when i did mine, i just bought aftermarket oem style arms. i did not want to deal with the down time and new replacement arms are way cheap
i had no need to buy adjustable ones

Just take it to a shop and have them press them out and put 2 new ones in! do both sides of the car!

Its a pain in the *** trying to pop them out! ive done it and its funny i accidently hammered the ball joint on the wrong side or upside down and ended up damaging it trying to take it out haha those were the days i had energy i swear im so lazy i dont even want to do a simple oil change anymore on my GSR
