Default 92-95 Eg hatchback tailgate lock cylinder removal

So my key doesn't work for my tailgate or any of my locks but works for my ignition only is there a way I can take off the lock and get it re keyed for my key that starts the car?

You can remove the interior plastic cover off the hatch pretty easily, mostly just plastic clips that hold it in. From there you should be able to remove the lock once that plastic cover is removed.

Be careful when you're pulling the cover off because this is 30 year old plastic and it's hard as hell now to get replacement pieces.

I've seen that lock get seized up and not turn, but that doesn't appear to be your problem here, your problem is that someone replaced the ignition with the matching key and that key doesn't work in your locks. If you're up for it, the best way to deal with this is:
  1. Go to the dealer with your VIN and have a key cut for your locks using their magic code
  2. Diassemble a lock in your door and figure out the order of the numbers of the little slots (with any luck this might be the same as the code they give you in 1.)
  3. Source the little slots (I've spent time in a junkyard pulling lock cylinders and pillaging the little slots), or you can order new
  4. Disassemble your ignition lock cylinder and install the little slots in the correct order.

I should've been taking locks at the junkyard didnt even think about it lol. My driver side is broken you can stick anything in there and itll unlock it wo that sones really broken or something I gotta take it apart. I was gonna take all my locks off and get them re keyed or try to rekey them myself so that my ignition key opens all of them. Idk which ever is easier I guess. How much does it cost to get a key cut from the dealer

When I've gone, it's been included in the price of the key! Get two!

Your mileage will vary. It is priced differently in different areas, states, countries etc.

You will have to go to the dealer and ask.
