Default P1297

Hello all! I have a 97 honda prelude and recently i replaced the vtec solenoid gasket. ever since I reinstalled and put it back together I noticed I frayed the connector. So I had to buy a pigtail and replace that. But ever since then my car has been having issues when i rev on park/nuetral to 4000 rpm's it moves the odometer randomly and blinks a check engine light. Also sometimes when I try to move my stick shift to the left the car automatically turns off. it seems to have a rough start sometimes too. could be because it hasnt been running for the whole week and its a cold start but the issues tend to be there. I have checked the ECU fuse and im not sure where else to start honestly. I havent personally drove the car around but my father in law told me while he was driving 20ish mph it would automatically turn off.
Do you guys think i should redo the wiring on that vtec solenoid? could it be my ECU? ELD? any suggestion or direction would definitely be appreciated. Thank you.

Just wanted to update if yall wanna still tryna help figure this out. So the car cranks but does not start. We changed ignition coil, distributor, pigtail to intake sensor, pigtail to vtec solenoid the Grey connector one with one wire, checked for spark for each plug. Checked psi in each cylinder, checked all fuses, fuel pump primes, checked fuel injectors, battery is working. So we are thinking its the ECU/ecm. Any ideas here?

If everything was good until you replaced the VTEC solenoid gasket, back track over your work. Likely something didn't go back together properly- and if your VTEC solenoid connector is frayed perhaps its grounding out on something.

so I checked my ground. one cable wasnt tightened all the way. tightened it. engine now turns then immediately dies. i was looking some stuff about this and if i disconnect my MAP sensor the car turns and runs. idles at 900 rpm. is this a bad MAP sensor issue? could be the connector too since it was replaced.

Make sure you don't have your MAP and TPS connectors reversed (meaning MAP on TPS and vice versa).
