Need some opinions on suspension on EG Hatch
Hey all, I'm the new owner of a pretty rough EG hatch that needs a lot of love and I'm trying to find a good solution to my needs in regards to the suspension.
Here's the deal: I'm gonna buy some 15x6.5 Rota Slipstreams with 205/50R15 tires over them to get rid of the miata wheels that I currently have on and I can't really seem to find a way to make the car lower by just a bit to get rid of the land rover gap between the wheels and the fenders.
My country also has some pretty bad roads with a lot of manhole covers so I need something that isn't stiff and uncomfortable.
Since I won't be going fast anywhere with the D15 Dual Point that I have in it I figured I could go with some OEM shocks with some lowering springs with a conservative drop in ride height? I just want the car to have a nice flush fitment without any camber and be perfectly usable on a day to day basis.
Any suggestions?

That's a pretty high spring rate just for daily driving isn't it? Sure it'll help in the corners which is great but I'm planning to have passangers, shouldn't I buy new OEM shocks with a good set of quality lowering springs with a softer spring rate?
Progress says the best setup for a daily driver with a single cam is 350/250. You will give up some ride quality by going 350/350, but feels sportier.
I've heard good things about Koni shocks and Ground Control coilovers as well, but I believe that setup will cost you more than the Porgress coilovers.
Or, as you suggested, some good (Ground Control?) coilovers over OEM shocks will probably work too.

Since I'm on a tighter budget I'll go with some progressive Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs with brand new OEM shocks, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the suggesion! But I doubt I can find something as niche as that without outrageous shipping prices, I'll do some more research and poke around but I have my doubts.
Although one thing that I could do is get Bilstein B8's, those are readily availible even here. Not sure how well they would work for my purpose though
