What are your goals with the engine and car? Specifically:
  • Are you planning to use a power adder? If so, what kind? What are your horsepower goals?
  • What kind of driving do you plan to do? Is this a daily driver, street/track, or track only?

I am planning on doing street/track
i plan on adding a turbo, and i’m not too sure about the horsepower i don’t know how much these engines are capable of

The upper end for D-series (right now) is in the 1,000 - 1,100 HP range.

For any street use, you're going to want a useable power band, which means an appropriately sized (small) turbo. I'd recommend targeting something in the 300's for now, and building for room to grow. I would make the block closed deck (CSS, Bad Guys Godzilla Deck, etc.) and use a quality forged piston (Traum, CP, Arias, Wiseco, etc.) with a compression ratio around 10:1 and an H-beam rod (Manley, Eagle, etc.). Real Street Performance offers a nice discount if you buy rods and pistons together.
