Spark on alternator

Default Spark on alternator

Hey guys so I have a 88 civic and I accidentally put a wrench on the alternator engine wasn’t running or anything but the radio and stuff was still on and now it just doesn’t turn on no cranks anything please help me out go easy on me too im a 17 year old trying to learn lol

Going to be checking fuse box and main relay once I’m out of school please guys let me know what else I should check

well youve come to the right place ^_-

yea the power wire on your alternator goes right the the under hood fuse box its one of the two bigger wires that goes in there
and yes it has a fuse
now since you said that the radio was on and now nothing cranks
that tells me that you had the key in the number 2 position
witch had the fuel primed and the ecu computer on
so the ecu fuse in the under hood fuse box may very well also be popped

check these two things and then go from there

Adding on to what Marcos said - the main fuse is the big one on the left in this picture. The ECU fuse should be # 7 the way this is numbered, but don't quote me on that - hopefully your cover still has the layout.
While you're in there, check the big middle fuse labeled ignition (#2 I think?). This may have blown as well as, or instead of, the main.
