I would think it has a transfer case? There is no mention in the owners manual about what fluid it takes, and no mention of a transfer case.

Next question, are these a car with an ignition switch that is activated by one of the computers? That is when you turn the key to start does it just send a signal to the computer to start the car and turn on the power to the ignition system? If so it would mean the computer or computers have almost full authority in the operation of the vehicle, except for the non electrical steering system.

Is there anyone here that goes to crv owners club site? I need help, that particular software as used there does not send me a confirmation mail.
