I just swapped a built d16y7 with a y8 head into a 97' coupe. Having had a d16y8 previously I thought it would be pretty straightforward. I did the swap and when I went to turn it over, a literal half-gallon of water ended up shooting out of my exhaust. It runs really rough (obviously). It smells faintly of gas, so I'm assuming it's mostly water. Compression tested at 160-170 across all cylinders.


Any thoughts on what could be causing the massive amount of water to shoot out?
