Clear coat issue - Fixing patches of damaged areas...
Hello, I have a stupid beginners question.
i have a 2007 Honda Civic LX 1.8L 4-door Sedan.
I have that clear coat issue going along all over my car.
I have never sanded or painted a car before.
i have a question... Is it possible to sand, prime, base coat & clear coat just the area thats affected? or Does one have to sand, prime, base coat & clear coat the whole continous piece of the vehicle in order to get the proper coating.
for example,
lets say i have the proper spray paint can that is based off the color code from the car...
in the pictures below,
i have a small area that has the damaged clear coat. Can i just sand that small area, paint & coat it? or would i have to do the whole door?
like wise for the other picture with the big area that has the damaged clear coat on the fender, does that also have to have the whole fender painted or coated or can i do just the affected area.
small area of clear coat damage - can i sand just the small area? big area of clear coat damage - should i do the whole fender or just the affected area?
