Default D16y8

Hello all, I recently rebuild a d16y8 out of a 2000 Civic EX. After I got the motor put back in the car and mounted up, I noticed a bag I forgot about that I got back from the machine shop with my block and head. Is this part on the inside or outside of the engine? Also, If it's on the inside is it vital to operation? Thank you for your time!

It's #10 on this diagram

Cover, Breathing Port
11311-PM3-000

I'm speculating but, without that installed, you may get excess oil in your oil breather chamber (black box near the oil filter).

You might be able to drop the oil pan and install it. You can see it in this picture.

Awesome, thank you so much. I think I'll run it where it's at and then take it to the shop I work at and install it on the lift.

if you have a catch can setup, that's not necessary. I didn't re-install that "diffuser" on mine.

What kind of catch can did you install? Is the oil breather box in the back of the engine compartment good enough? Or are they different. Thank you for your input!

typical 3 port cylinder catch can.
(2) 10AN bungs on the valve cover
(1) 10AN bung that replaces the black canister found underneath I/M
