Default 2019 Honda Accord- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

So my 2019 Honda Accord, Touring, has Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), however, it is not very good in keeping in the car in the lane when the road bends, and even in small bends in the road the car will break the lane. I also noticed that if the road is on a slant, the car will break the lane. It seems like the torque on the system is not programmed very strong and the system allows the car to break. ON THE OTHER HAND my wife's 2021 CRV keeps the lane every time, with no problems. The dealership said that the LKAS was modified/changed in recent years, and that I just need to live with this. Any thoughts?

Yeah, one thought. The "A" in "LKAS" is for "assist." The purpose is to help you, the driver maintain the lane, not do it for you. It isn't supposed to "keep the car in the lane when the road bends," it is supposed to make it easier for you to do so. Even the unethical manufacturers who have begun showing ads where they suggest you can take your hands off the wheel, still say you should not.

BTW, the update was to address what some have called "ping-ponging" where, if you do take your hands off the wheel, the car zig-zags from one side of the lane to the other. Again, not an issue if you keep your hands on the wheel, but what it did was make LKAS less responsive to small variations.

That said, I agree that the LKAS in my wife's CR-V does better than in my Accord (pre-update). But both do what they intend to do quite well. It sounds fake, but the little bit of attention that you put into staying in your lane (and maintaining speed while not running up the bumper of a slow car, which ACC addresses) adds up to a lot of strain.I estimate that in either car, I get about 1/3 further on a road trip before I reach the same level of fatigue.
