My accord has an unusual idle, in park, it starts up to 3,000RPM and goes down to 2,000 in a minute, once it reaches this, it will start to fluctuate between 1,500-2,000. After a few more minutes it will simmer down and chill at 1,000RPM. No check engine light.

There seems to be a gap in the subforums leaving your Accord, and probably other models, out in the cold. I have no idea what going on there. I have two suggestions. Hope that owners of older Accords in THIS subforum can help -- but it's not a very busy subforum, or add your question to the newer 1990 Accord subforum, as well -- it's probably busier.

I'll start off by asking, "When was it last tuned up?" and "Did it just start doing this all of a sudden?"
