Hello, i did my first brake shoe, wheel cylinder and drum replacement today.
I have a 2007 Honda Civic LX 1.8L.
I wanted to know what this due hicky is that i highlighted in the picture. its highlighted in a bright pinkish redish color.. it sits right next to the brake adjuster.
Whats this piece called and whats its purpose

 

It is part of the auto adjustment. It ratchets the adjuster open as the shoes wear.
