Hi, I am in the process of replacing my "93 Accord's timing belts and front seals.I noticed when replacing the front crank seal that there appear to be small oil passages in the oil pump housing that come from the area directly behind the seal bore to the lower right hand side (rear) just below where the dab of sealant is. I've attached a photo. Are these supposed to be covered over by the seal when installed? My seal went in Ok but bottomed out about a millimeter past the front face of the seal bore. I'm concerned that maybe the seal is in too far and that these passages should not be covered by the seal outer surface? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Wondering what these small oil passages are for? Thanks, Bill.
