IAT issues
My civic keeps throwing code 10 for the IAT sensor, I replaced it and the code went away, then came back a few weeks later. I replaced it once more and this time it went bad about a week later. Finally I replaced it yet again and it went bad the next day, I have no idea what’s going on? I’m assuming it’s gotta be wiring or my ecu. have a p28 ecu with Hondata not sure if that matters but I tested the wiring and everything seems fine. Has anyone else had this issue before? I can’t find anyone having a problem like this.
Either you are buying really crappy replacement sensors or you have a wiring problem. Since you have Hondata, if you want to defeat the code 10 temporarily until you can properly diagnose/fix, you can defeat the IAT code and set a specific fixed value.
All the sensors have been genuine Honda ones, so I doubt that’s the issue
Probably can't help you but My AIT is on the intake manifold, above the alternator. For the skunk2 intake manifold i had to put threads on the sensor. Is yours in the same location and is it considered OBD0, 1, or 2? Have you unplugged or reset ecu by removing the backup fuse under dash for a while? Good luck
Do you have any of the old IAT sensors? Did you test them to see if they were actually bad?
You can check the sensor's resistance (unplugged) and compare it to the chart in the Helm manual. Or, there is a temperature/voltage relationship also, which you can check with the sensor plugged in and the car running. I don't believe that is in the Helm manual, but I can provide the chart if needed.
