so my odyseey is in the shop an they say the valves bent but pistons are fine how is this possible jw should i have them take pics for me

 

A broken timing belt will bend valves. Slipped timing belt will also bend valves.

Pistons are much beefier than valves and will easily push the vaves out of the way and not take on damage. They will have witness marks but not damage.
