My father bought a Civic 2007 diesel.
He says that whenever he makes any repair work, the car refuses to start. He is presented with a big yellow key symbol on the dash.
The solution is that he must always call a guy who has a machine which he connects to the car, seconds later the car will start as normal.

My question is if there is any workaround? Is it a normal behaviour?
He pays 50 euro each time for the guy to come.
