Default Oversized Oil Filter

Has anyone experimented with a larger than stock oil filter? I've been trying to find dimensions for Purolator, Wix, etc. but no luck yet. I have the gasket dimensions and thread size of the original filter.
Of course I've considered a remote filter but that's more expense and effort than I want to take on right now. There's plenty of room for a larger filter in the oem location.

I think honda does their own thing with threads/bolts etc. and they don't match standard or metric . Even the screws on the rotors are not standard phillips . They use a shorty and I think that's just the way it is . Good luck though .

I think you are horribly misinformed on this topic. Honda follows strict JIS standards for fasteners. The Phillips screws you are complaining about are JIS. You need a JIS screw driver to properly engage them.
