What head will fit D15b1 without any issues
Car is a 1990 civic ef hatchback STD
I know the answer is buried somewhere in the forums. I've looked for answers.
I need to know what heads will fit D15b1 non vtec without any timing belt fitment issues or cam gear being a different size issues.
I know all D series heads should fit but I'm reading that some have variations in Cam gear size and timing belt size. And I only have money for a head at the moment.
Specifically I'll be looking at civics and accords from 94 to 2000 at the junk yard since they crush all the older cars that is all I have to work with.

AFAIK the B1 is physically the same as a B2. The only other similar heads are the B7 and B8, and the B8 probably isn't one you want.
Having said that, even if you find a B7 head, even if you put good work into it, you're still dropping it on a (presumably) ancient block.
If you wait and get a full engine, take the time to go through it, understand what you need for that swap, hopefully get the wiring sorted out, etc., you're going to be in a much better position.
Trying to upgrade that engine in pieces is going to leave very little to show. Well, I suppose you could keep all the receipts and have those.
EDIT: Just to back up the point, since it seems unlikely you'll manage to google it for yourself.

Since you didn’t give reason as to why your swapping the head. You probably don’t know what your doing so make it easy on yourself and your wallet and just put another dual point head on it and nothing else. Tools parts needed dual point head $5 head gasket $20 harbor freight torque wrench $20 go to helms dot com order the manual for your car $50 Do the job and return the torque wrench for the $20 and fill the gas tank yw
