Hello Honda Accord Owners:

I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX SDN and the front seat manual cloth passenger side airbag deployed. I'm considering purchasing a 2005 Honda Accord LX SDN front passenger manual cloth seat from a local junkyard. The side airbag is intact. Is it possible to replace the 2003 front passenger seat with the 2005 seat and get the airbag system light to switch off so I can pass a state inspection? Look forward to replies. Many thanks. Hello Honda 2003-2012 Drivers:

As an update, I learned from a local dealership in Virginia that the only passenger seat that the airbag system will recognize is another 2003 Honda Accord EX 4D sedan manual passenger seat with a side airbag. The system will not recognize any other year or model of passenger seat. As such, does anyone have any recommendations on where I might be able to locate this particular seat in good shape? Is there a used Honda parts website? The interior is black but I think a gray seat would also work.
