Default Please help

I have a crx with a b16a2 it has 35thou on the clock got it off an older gentleman when it had 25 thou on it. Long story short it had been sitting for 10 plus year's and the gentleman that sold it to me thought it had 125 on the clock and the timing belt was done but since going through all papers found out that the belt had not been done and so I booked it in and my meachic has done the belt and told me it was a little loose. He done comp test before we done belt and compression come back 150 across all 4 which has me really worried concerning that when I got it compression was 205 across all 4 cylinders. My meachic said that he is going to check the valves and timing hoping that compression comes back up. Dose anyone have any insight is to why I would of dropped 55 psi across all 4 cylinders and I would think that if there was a problem that one would be off more than the other just seems really strange that all 4 cylinders would loose 55 psi... any answers appreciated

Probably used the wrong belt and/or wrong water pump and the timing is off.

Not all testers are equal or the same. Unless you took it to this same mechanic and he used the same tester and hasn't used it much since. The results may not be the same.

Also just time driving/using engine will do it. It was already getting on with age. The rings were prolly bad enough that the oil was sealing them up and now has hit the stage that doesn't work anymore. Or the valves were sealing halfway decently but the build up has gotten great enough they leak quite a bit more now. Or both.

A lot can happen to a high mileage motor in 10,000 miles.

Also a hot/warm test will be quite a bit different than a cold test.

it only has 36 thousands kms on the car... Got it back from meachic today seems to be going better he said it should be fine and like you said all testers are different... I'm starting to think that maybe he didn't do the test by wot and just by cranking the motor but not sure. The problem started with the leads amping out and then a bought a new set of leads top gun and they were no good either so I was down on power. We replaced the leads and distributor with new ones power has come back seems to be running alot better... do you think that because it was driven with a bad set of leads that it could of washed cylinder walls or something like that? What are your thoughts on putting a can of compression restore in it ive heard of people using it to help washed cylinder walls and stuff like that? Can I use it in a vtec? It doesn't use oil and dose not blow any smoke it just is still a little bit funny through the revs but as I said alot better, because I had resistance in the leads I believe it all started from that just not sure if I can use that stuff in a vtec?
