Default P3Y to P28 swap

I have a edm 98 civic sedan ej9 and I tried to swap my p3y ecu to a p28 with an adapter and I ran into an issue when I realized that the adapter is not the right one I bought the obd2a to obd1 adapter that all of my friends used on their car and that didn’t work for me when my friends saw my wiring harness they told that’s a weird one does anybody know any adapter that I can use on my car or what do I need to do to make the p28 work on my car.
Thanks!

Post a picture of the ECU plugs that are stock in your car... the ones that plug into your P3Y ECU.

You bought an adapter harness likely for pgm-fi. You have to make your own adapter since the p3y ecu is SFI. This site will help.
