Im in need of some help
Anyone know how to lossen the nut on the right passenger side tie rod I have a 1999 Honda civic cx and ive been battling taking off the tie rod nut but it won't budge at all ive gone as crazy as using a rope and using it to pull the wrench and the nut still won't loosen ive heard of people just using a blow torch or something and getting it real hot and then using a wrench to turn it and it would loosen right out but idk any ideas?
tie rod NUT? are you turning right direction? this is one i always have to think about. nothings reverse threaded, but depends on which direction youre looking it messes with your head.
i lock the tie rod with an open wrench against swaybar or whatever it can, so it doesnt rotate with the nut.
and if i need more torque on the open ended wrench of the nut, use another open end wrench to lock in the outer end and give it a good push (not kick, you want a controlled push) with the leg.
