1996 Honda Accord cranks but wont start.
Hey guys, so I have a 1996 Honda Accord that was stolen from me and then returned. Once I got it back they cut the Catalytic Converter off, damaged my ignition switch and jacked my headlights. That being said, upon further inspection it doesnt look like they tampered with anything else in the engine bay ( I have a picture of it before it was stolen ). I had to charge the battery ( its full and working just fine ) and the car has about 3 1/2 gallons of gas in it. After installing the new ignition switch I went to go start it up and all it does it chug ( crank ) but it wont start. Its acting like it wants to start but it wont. I was told cars can start without a catalytic converter so idk why it wont start. Is it not starting cuz there isnt enough back pressure? Could this be another issue that Im over looking? None of the wires under the dash were messed with. All my spark plugs are fine, the wires are in the correct firing order. I just dont know what it is.
I did order a new Cat and Exhaust system that Im installing soon but if that doesnt fix the issue im stumped. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks in advance

I know it sounds odd, but check your ground wires (engine block to chassis etc). I had a similar issue after trying to start my car after it was parked for a few weeks. Clean up the grounds and try to start again, it wouldnt spark unless the ground had good contact
