Well, after looking around a bit, it looks like I'll be "one of the few"(if any...women, I mean. I already am one of the "other" few...a Marine.)
My name is Sheri, I live outside of Lexington in Kentucky. I drive a 2000 Honda Civic, nothing fancy but I bought it 3 years ago and have kept it running well!
I was trained as a heavy equipment mechanic in the Marines and retained enough to know the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver, along with some very basic education besides. Most of what I know I learned from my ex-husband, who was into muscle cars. (And he thought I never paid attention!)
I joined here to hopefully expand my knowledge, keep my Honda in decent shape and not be treated like I'm an idiot. Up front, sometimes you'll think, "Why don't you know that?!" and other times you'll think, "You don't know THAT but you know THIS??".
