RC Fuel Injection
Dear Honda owners,
Recently, on my 1996 Honda Accord 2.2 VTEC,
with 274K miles, I changed the VTEC solenoid.
To access, I had to move the fuel rail.
And, two fuel injectors came out of the
fuel rail. They would they not go
back in easily. And, when I finally got
them in, there was a fuel leak from
between the injector, and the fuel rail.
Wow.
So I send the fuel injectors to
RC Fuel Injection
https://www.rcfuelinjection.com/
They cleaned the injectors, and
replaced all the rubber parts.
$25 per injector.
They also did a before and after flow rate test, and
sent the results.
In CC/min, the before readings were:
133, dripping
198, fair
175, dripping
221, fair
The after readings were:
249
250
249
251 All excellent.
Now that the injectors are back in, the car
feels stronger. I'm sure I will get better MPG.
But I won't know until I do another few hours
of highway driving.
The price is great. Not only did they clean
everything, they put new rubber on too. Had I
bought all the rubber parts at the dealership, the
price would have been at least $25 per injector.
But no cleaning.
The downside was that I was without a car for a week.
So, I just wanted to tell everyone about the
good service there.
Hope it's useful.
