Hi Folks. I need to replace the glass on my 97 hatch. I have a take-off hatch and was hoping to have the glass swapped over. Since none of the rubber pieces are available anymore (I can't find them anywhere), does anyone know if they can be successfully swapped with the glass?

I talked to the glass shop about preserving the weather-stripping, they said they would need to see the car... Wondering if some of you out there that have gone through this can offer some advice...

 

What year did the replacement come off of and why not swap everything, instead of "chancing" the seals?

 

Yeah, fair question. I got a 94-97 hatch so I could go that route... Its the wrong color, but car needs a repaint anyways. I really want to keep the car as original and intact as possible, so wanted to avoid digging into the headliner, cutting the harness, swapping body panels.
