I'm wondering if the starter in the following photos is the original one that came with 1.5 (D15B2) DX Civic, or is it something that the previous owner changed at some point?






I also have the following starter (green one, on the right), taken from a European Civic Sedan; not sure if 1.3L or 1.4L engine. Can I use it on 1.5L engine or will it be too weak?

 

That's definitely an OEM distributor, no telling if it's original to the car or replacement.

The other one looks like the other style starter. Mitsuba I think? I don't know with any certainty, but assuming the gear and mounting match, it's probably the same part as the D15.
