Code P0336 crankshaft sensor A circuit range/ performance
Ok so my 2001 Honda Civic Ex 5 spd is throwing code P0336 for crankshaft sensor A circuit range and performance and I’ve done everything under the sun new sensor, ecm, harness, redone timing, fuse box, ground wires checked wires for voltage with a multimeter and the battery light and the abs light have also came on since then and alternator and battery both tested good. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
Use only OEM Honda crankshaft sensor.
Check for corrosion at crankshaft sensor connector. Especially if you did the timing belt service and unhooked the sensor and got coolant in the connector.
Check all the bolts holding the alternator to block for looseness. These are the grounding points for the alt and can come loose and cause electrical problems. BTW the ABS light on in the dash with the battery light as well were the first signs of a failing alternator and loose bolts for me.
