Default ECM needs reflashed/Upgrade?

OK have a 2014 Odyssey...broke timing belt replace engine with very low mile 2016. replaced timing belt water pump idlers and tensioner.
Runs fine BUT it has always BACKED FIRED out the air intake upon initial start up. Sometimes a slight backfire , other time more sever. The results of this: 3 broke timing belts and a Balancer that came apart! Everyone agrees it's a timing issue with the ECM, I replace the cam and crank sensors, just to be sure it wasn't one of those bad. Another thing someone changed the ECM out before I got this van....I found that out when a scan tool pulled up the VIN for a 2016 not my vin and mine is a 2014. HOW Much should a Honda Dealer charge me to reflash and/or upgrade my current ECM? One hour flat rate plus parts? What's fair? Van has lot of miles so I am not willing to keep spending money on it. Suggestions? Anyone have the same issue? O' the timing marks are perfect this last belt is a Gates and the ones before Honda OEM, not driving it at all till I get the timing set correctly. Thanks for your input.
