Default 93 Accord F20

My 1993 CB3 Accord with 5-speed manual and F20 engine previously ran badly. Unstable idle and stalled on moving requiring disconnecting and reconnecting of battery to get a move on.

Changed mechanic and most recently had the timing adjusted. The car is now better than before. No more jumping idle but still stalling on the move.

I'm happily driving and the accelerator pedal randomly disconnects/stops responding. Pressing the accelerator pedal does nothing. <- weird to me since the car is not drive by wire.
The RPM would drop as it would normally when engine breaking.
At this point, I turn the key, the car jerks but then continues on driving.

I'm wondering if perhaps the timing is not sticking/staying?

if I do not turn the key, I assume it would engine break for a few seconds then just stall. this is what I experienced previously.

another oddity to note. Before getting the timing adjusted, I would experience the pedal disconnecting/stalling 2 times close to each other, then a longer duration of time before pedal disconnecting/stalling 2 times.
