Default Accord Euro 05 K24A3 strange sound on cold start

Hi there ladies and gents, Ben here from Oz.

So we recently bought an 05 Euro and unfortunately we weren’t as thorough in our inspection as we should have been. So I soon after noticed a strange sound coming from around the driver side of the engine. It goes away after about a minute and does not make the sound again until the next cold start.
Since we had the car at ~142,000 Kms, soon right after I flushed the engine oil, a bottle of Liqui-Moly fuel system cleaner before and after the engine oil flush and the only difference doing the above has made was improved fuel economy.

So despite of the weird sound it makes on cold start, it drives beautifully. Acceleration feels absolutely normal. No hesitation what so ever.

If someone could please chime in that would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s a link to a video of the cold start on YT: https://youtu.be/NFas6-4NI8I

Looking forward to hearing back, cheers.

That is a fun one. I suspect something with the accessory belt. Could be on the idler pullies with a bearing on the way out. Could be the belt has a slick spot in it that squawks as it passes the alternator.
