VTEC Solenoid High Voltage CEL S300 -No boost past 6psi. Thoughts?
Hey guys I’m wondering if anyone can help me pinpoint this issue I’m having. My car won’t build boost past 6 psi. Earlier, I nailed it and it fell flat on its face and Hondata showed a code 2649 and said vtech solenoid high voltage. I just pulled the vtech solenoid it looked fine- clean, clear, and no clogs. The car won’t even build up to gate pressure.
Also, it’s an OBD2B and I have a 10 pin factory harness. Do I need a 10 pin distributor? It had a 9 pin distributor when I bought it
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hopefully someone else will chime in with experience. I’m not sure about the 9 pin or 10 pin distributor, but is seems important.
As for the car not building boost up to the wastegate level, I’ve heard it’s a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP) problem and not a VTEC problem. But I’m unsure on this one.
