G'day. First post here. Please excuse any mistakes in protocol but I'm reaching out to the Honda brains trust for some help.

Just recently bought an Australian delivered 2002 EU1 Honda Civic 5 door hatch in Taffeta White, with the D17A2 engine and a 5MT - Been learning all about them and enjoying them but my question is this:

I seem to have central locking fitted to the car (all doors/boot unlock/lock using the key in the drivers door) and I would like to add Keyless entry to it.

Conflicting information on the internet about it, but I believe I can purchase a keyless entry fob from say eBay, and as long as it's a genuine 2 button unit to suit Honda Civic 2001-2006 It'll work once it's been programmed to the car... Does that sound right? I can not find a specific EU1-EU3 remote and I'd love someone to confirm or reject my thought if possible before I commit to the >$50AUD purchase price.
