I have a 2004 Civic LX, got it sight unseen because it had low mileage - a friend's mom had to go into a nursing home. Probably wouldn't have bought it if I had seen it. Clear coat failure is embarassing & maintenance was not up to date. All in all the car is OK except for numerous small problems that I have never experienced with other makes -- exterior door handle broke, rear windows stopped functioning, driver's side door & trunk locks don't function, the pop open cable for the fuel door stopped functioning @ the gas station, cd player stopped, rear window defroster only partially works...probably more things that I can't remember right now. The clincher was the brake light pad cracked - never knew there was such a thing - leaving my brake lights on & me stranded... I joined this forum to find out what else can I expect to go wrong on a 7th gen civic so I can fix it in advance.
