Default 1999 honda accord ex leak

I have a 1999 honda accord ex has roughly 190000 miles on the engine have yet to do a timing belt or any major things to the engine besides new egr valve but I was sitting in a parking lot (car on at idle) when all of a sudden lots of smoke from my hood look at my temp Guage not over heating so I trun the car off thinking it was on fire wait a few minutes no flame and I see liquid all over the ground under the left side of my car (passenger side) pop my hood and coolant is sprayed all over the left side of my engine and trans but majority seemed to be dripling from underneath my distributer cap waited a while for car to cool down then filled back up with coolant turned the car on let it warm up and then boom no leak any ideas what could be happing or have happend ???? also should say that for a while I had noticed the side of my trans underneath my distributer has alwasy seemed to have either oil or something on it same with the plugs under my distributer cap alwasy seemed to have wet oil on them bet never a big enough Leak to cause a puddle or anything at all under the car

Heater hose(s)

The oil leaking from the distributor and or the valve cover accumulates on the hose and degrades it over time.
