I drive a 1998 Honda Accord LX Sedan with a 4 cylinder 2.3 liter engine.

I'm trying to swap it for performance however I'm new to the car scene and don't have a lot of experience with this kind of thing, a lot of sources are telling me different things that don't match up and I'm a little confused. I don't have any emissions laws, so that won't be an issue. I also wouldn't know where to find the engine needed, can I just order it to my house or would I have to find a shop to order it to?
