97 LS auto to manual swap.
Does anyone have a reliable source of a parts list to do a full auto to manual swap? It’s a b18b motor with a b18b manual transmission that is complete.
I did this and some things I remember using were the Auto to manual trans mount from Torque solutions. The other two mounts are the same. Manual axles, and all obv manual stuff. You'll have to do some splicing into the wiring harness where the auto shifter hooks up to trick it to thinking it's in neutral all the time or you won't be able to start. Chased this ****** for a long time what a bitch. Hook up the reverse lights. Extend a wire from that harness to the manual trans reverse swtich at the front of the new manual trans. You'll need to swap out the pedals. Would be smart to put in a new clutch that is rated for the power you're using so you don't have to do a clutch job again. You'll need to add the slave cylinder line. I believe I got this off my old EG or you can get a braided line from ebay. Don't forget to wire up the clutch switch to start or bypass it. I bypassed it since this saves crank thrust bearing wear and it's just more convenient. Manual intermediate shaft is different from auto. I believe the two other shafts are the same (don't quote me on that). New Honda MTF. I've tried Pennzoil synchromesh and it wasn't as good. Make sure your shift rod is in good condition and other shifter bushings.
