Default 2009 Honda Civic LX fuel supply line replacement.

Hello

This is my first post but I have been using this site for many years to troubleshoot issues I come across with my 2009 honda civic. A couple of days ago I started getting a strong odor of gas coming from the bottom of the car and used a half tank of gas to and from work which is not normal. I followed some guidance I got from this from here to remove the seat in the back to access the fuel pump. Once I removed the cover I noticed the fuel pump case was not where the leak was. The fuel supply line is torn and spraying the inside of the housing. This is not a picture of my car my hands were covered in gas and I could not get to my phone to take a pic. The hose I circled in read is what has a tear, it seems to be a rubber house connected to a metal line, there are two round bumps at the metal line connections which seems to be what is holding it in place. At Autozone I was told I would have to replace the whole line from the fuel pump to the engine compartment. I have the following two questions

1. Is the rubber hose replaceable with out having to replace the whole fuel line? If so would anyone know the part number or correct term for part or where to find the part? What tools do I need to disconnect and replace the fuel line?
2. If the whole line needs to be replaced could anyone provided what the cost would be at the dealership?

Not ready to part with my civic I would like to get it fixed if its worth it.

Thank you in advance.

The whole line gets replaced from tank to firewall. It is a one piece line that is crimped together. I did this on an Insight and was able to fish the line in and out without removing the fuel tank. The Civic may not have the clearance to do this.

Good news bad news kind of situation.

Good news, not terribly expensive. Bad news, it is two lines tied together with a single part number and it is not currently available. Going to be a bit more work to replace. I think that second line is the EVAP line.

Also that link is for a 4 door auto. Make sure you pick the correct options for you car.

Here is the 2 door auto, it is available and also more expensive for less pipe, go figure.

Ryan

Thank you for your response. The real bad news is the website states the part is discontinued, may have to take the car to the dealer. I don't understand how the rubber part of the fuel line broke. It is completely covered from the elements and rubber. Now I have to find detail instructions on how to install, can't find any clear instructions in the Haynes book. If I don't have to drop the tank I am may take a shot if I can find the lines.

Do you all think it would be a bad idea to cut the rubber hose part off the metal line and repair with and aftermarket hose and clamps?
