Honda Civic 10th Gen VTEC 1 Litre Tuning
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with how I can improve my Civic's performance?
I know of chiptuning and a conservative tune could yield about 25 extra horsepower,
but what kind of hardware upgrades can I do to get more power?
The Civic delivers about 126 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque from the factory. It's the base model for the European market - 1.0 VTEC TURBO, manual transmission.
Thanks in advance!

OP, who offers a "chip" for this application ???
The way you will upgrade the performance of your Civic is to SELL IT and get one with MORE POWER. I am unaware of any tuning solution for your application.

I’m unsure of any off the shelf upgrades because they don’t have that model here in the US, however with any turbocharged car, an exhaust downpipe and cat back exhaust can free up some more horsepower if your current exhaust is narrow piping. You might have to get it custom made, but it’s possible if you know a welder.
You can also get rid of your air filter box if it seems restrictive to incoming air and put a pipe/tube with a K&N air filter on the end to make a “cold air intake”. Be careful with the intake though, you don’t want it in any position where it can take in water, or else you engine can hydro lock and be ruined.
You could also put new intercooler piping and a new better flowing intercooler, together with silicone couplers and good T-bolt clamps. That will help the pressurized air flow more easily into the engine.
There are lots of things you can do to increase power, but like JRCIVIC1 put it, you might want to get a car that starts with more power, since you only have a 1 liter engine, it’ll be challenging to get a lot of power out of it, but it still could be quick, I think.

Thank you very much, guys!
Much valued input.
The Civic's in my country are very expensive and hard to come-by. For example, for the price of what I paid for my car, I could buy an Si in the US

it all depends on your location rules and regulations.
with the cost of parts and labor, i wouldnt do it.
might as well buy a secondary car with plenty of aftermarket support.
