2012 Crosstour - Is it possible to switch FOB Seat Assignments
Heya,
My wife got a 2012 Crosstour and the #1 keyfob was in rough shape. I bought and cut a 3rd party new fob. I was successfully able to program it to the car, but I can't seem to get it to take over the #1 position relative to seats/mirrors. I tried programming using the new fob in the ignition and pressing the lock buttons in the order of "New", "2" and "1", in hopes that the "New" one being pressed first would assign it to the #1 driver. It didn't work. In fact, it doesn't work with #2 either. It just seems to not control a seat assignment at all.
Is there a way for me to make the car see this new fob as the #1 fob?
Thanks so much!
