Hi
I have a D15Z6 Engine European spec in my civic 2000. I pour 3.3 liters with filter changed but dipstick showing it way too much. Why is that?

 

This happens all the time. I have noticed the same with all my previous oil change

 

Same thing happens on my VX with B7 motor. Not sure why. I measure exactly 3.3 and it's like it's 1/3 liter over full. Didn't seem to affect it. When I changed my filter at 10,000 KM it dropped it to the top dot and I've been going the last 10,000 KM since.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Also I think hot oil might read higher (expands) than cold oil in the morning after sitting overnight. But I'm not level where I park so haven't been able to confirm.
