Default New owner!

Hey everyone!

I'm the new owner of a 98 ITR. My first car was a 94 EG Honda Civic. That was a great car, and I drove it for 10 years, from ~2000-2010.

I'm bought this ITR as a weekend car that I can sometimes enjoy with my family (2 young kids, just old enough to buckle themselves). The kids love it when VTEC kicks in!

The car seems to be in a reasonable condition, So far the only thing I've fixed is gotten the ITR floor mats. I plan to slowly refresh parts over time and also give the paint some polishing over winter, when it will mostly stay in the garage.

Looking forward to having some small talk and discussions over car topics with you all.

Hey thanks! I like your username. There appears to be not many red ITRs. I was not looking for any particular colour actually, I inspected a white ITR at first, but it was in poor condition. This red one happened to be the second one I looked at, and my youngest son is always telling me that he wants a red car.

I just added a few more pics, I would like to take it for a proper drive on some mountain passes sometime and get a few proper shots.

The car needs a proper wash, especially the white wheels! I've made a few attempts at the self-service carwash, each time lots of dirt comes off, but the wheels are still dirty. I've been contemplating taking it through an auto car wash with a wheel washing program, or perhaps taking it to a detailer.

Well, the first priority is to drive the car and enjoy it, and I can make it look pretty later.

The fuel light turned on a couple of km after picking it up from the dealer. I think my previous cars came with a full tank, so it was a bit of a surprise! Also, a small drive with family to a local hill with playground.

The Type R badge, slightly roughed.. I wish the previous owner took care of the car a bit more, but what's done is done.

My first car, the 94 EG Civic. Photo taken in 2006, car was still running great and looking great when I sold it in 2010. Lots of memories of hooning this car in my high school / uni days. Luckily, no accidents and only 1 speeding ticket.

We try to take the ITR when we go out on the weekend.
