New to the forum and I am here because I am a little frustrated with getting work done on my 2012 Ruckus. I am original owner and have never really had a problem until about a year ago. Live in St. Augustine Florida and our local Honda dealer has left town......not a bad idea since they were not the best as far as service. No hating, just seemed like they did not have time nor the proper mechanics to get their work done properly. I took my Ruckus in for an idling problem. Would start, run well for continuous trip, then stall at idle and not restart. Had the service department give me a diagnostics eval that cost $195......which I was fine with, then they replaced carburetor, fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter and spark plug wire, cap and plug. Changed the oil, fresh gas and everything seemed to work fine except I did not have the power/speed as previous. I called back to have them review and they had closed.
Now I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaned carb and installed new air filter. I can start with small amount of starter fluid and runs great at med-high throttle.......stalls as soon as it goes to idle or lower RPM. I see this is a common occurrence with the ruckus and am trying to solve this issue.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated...especially from the experienced tech guys and gals.
