Icon4 1999 civic K swap

Hi guys, i'm pretty new on here and im basically trying to find some information on how to upgrade my HONDA. I currently have a Honda Civic 1999 Hatch(2door) with everything stock and original. I'm looking to upgrade it and make it faster and more fun to drive. Im looking to do an engine swap but I Dont know what the best option is for me. I see a lot of recommendations about k20/k24 swaps, so if any of you can give me some information about that, that would be great. and if any of you know roughly how much it would cost me at a medium level, I would appreciate it. I also want to upgrade the brake pads and suspension too, so if you guys have any recommendations, that would be great.

There are countless threads on this. Search more.
Unless youre already experienced with fabrication, swapping, working on cars, etc. a K swap is not going to be doable for you. The other option is to drop 15k having a shop do everything for you and hope they do a good job (probably wont).

Enter your email and they'll send you a PDF. Lots of good basic information here.

I recommend searching online "Civic K swap build" or "K swap build thread" and see what other people have done.

I think you're overselling a little on the difficulty of the swap. With kits from Hybrid Racing and Ktuned now, a lot of this stuff is pretty plug-and-play or mostly a bolt in affair - This depends on you putting down the cash and getting a proper swap kit though. At this point I'd honestly consider a turbo, H swap, or a lot of other stuff equally if not more difficult. As long as you can follow instructions and have gotten your feet wet with basic maintenance/mods before, IMO a K swap is doable for a low-intermediate guy.

Agree 100% with everything else.

... AND there is absolutely NO REASON to post this question in several sub-forums OP... please exercise proper forum etiquette.

It would probably easier and cheaper to buy a car already k swapped. If you go this route make sure someone familiar with k cars looks at it with you though.
