honda civic 1999 upgrades
Hi guys, i'm pretty new on here and im basically trying to find some information on how to upgrade my HONDA. I currently have a Honda Civic 1999 Hatch(2door) with everything stock and original. I'm looking to upgrade it and make it faster and more fun to drive. Im looking to do an engine swap but I Dont know what the best option is for me. I see a lot of recommendations about k20/k24 swaps, so if any of you can give me some information about that, that would be great. and if any of you know roughly how much it would cost me at a medium level, I would appreciate it. I also want to upgrade the brake pads and suspension too, so if you guys have any recommendations, that would be great.
What's your swap budget looking like? K-swaps are expensive. The engine is cheap, but the finished swap is pricey. I've heard $5K - $6K.
B-swaps are more affordable, but the engines are getting more difficult to find. Keep your eyes out and you can find a deal on one. You could consider doing a non-VTEC swap - B18B and B20 engines are typically cheaper than B18C's and B16's.
To me, the best bang-for-the-buck entry level suspension is Progress CS2 or CS3.
