The topic was making more torque.

a flywheel will give you more torque and also allow you to build and drop revs faster. Your engine will become more responsive like a motorcycle engine.

I drove a jetta with a flywheel and the revs are nutts but its so easy to stall the engine and you need more revs on and scale when you are accellerating from stop in first gear.

For more torque, get a supercharger not a turbo. Also, you could bore out your cly. and increase compression. For MAD torque, run 11:1 compression and bore out your cyl 10 thous. To run this much compression you will need a new bottom end and titanium valves, rockers, piston heads and rods (perhaps a crank balance).

If you had the money you could run 18:1 compression by boring out your cyl walls like 8mm. and using an insert to strengthen your block. Add a turbo and run on nitro methane and you possibly could have over 700 HP at peak. (you would need a FULL engine balance for this)

For your application I would replace the rings, flywheel, underdrive pullys, intake, exhaust and mill the head a few thous. Then run 94 fuel with timing advance and you would have quite a bit of power!

OR...go out and buy a Jackson Racing Charger

OMG someone help. This is not a joke as I originally thought.

I think he was joking...he mentions 18:1 compression, then later states it's impossible and that you would need a composite engine....
