Hi everyone,
I just picked up a 2004 DC5 Type-R here in the Caribbean. It is in moderate shape body/interior wise, but the suspension is in a really bad way. The previous owner put on maxspeedingrods coilovers and dropped them LOWWWWW. The ride is truly horrible, and borders on terrifying on the bumpy roads here. Suspension has no compliance, so it literally wants to jump from bump to bump, and break traction etc. Not to mention the vehicle is so low, it can barely clear driveways etc.
Does ANYONE know if the DC5R used the same suspension springs as the RSX Type-S? If yes, then great, I can try getting the vehicle back to stock ride height and quality. If not, where would I even start finding the type-R oem setup?
Thanks

Haha! The cheap Chinese coilovers are a sponsor here. No surprise they are junk.
You could try to adjust them to maximum ride height while you hunt for stock parts.
I do believe Base and Type S suspension will bolt to your Type R but they won't be the same performance spec at real Type R parts.

Thanks for the part numbers Them Witches, I'm still looking to see what I should consider doing. I'd really just love to find the original suspension for sale locally, even if I need to replace the struts eventually.
Will keep you posted if I have any luck
