Does a new A/C compressor come with enough oil for a virgin A/C system?
Car is a 92 Civic and I'm replacing the entire AC system. The following R134a 95 Civic parts will be installed brand new: evaporator, condenser, expansion valve, rubber compressor hoses, filter/drier, schrader valves, all green o-rings, binary switch, and compressor.. The only oem parts I'll be using are aluminum hard lines from an R134A 95 Civic, I'll also be flushing these lines before install. The compressor I'm installing is a Denso 471-7050 and it says it comes with oil. I understand that when an AC component is replaced you have to add a certain amount of oil to that part to replace the amount that was in it. I also understand that new compressors, that are filled with oil, must have the oil drained and refilled to the amount that the old compressor had in it. My question is; will the new filled AC compressor come with enough oil for the entire system or will the new dry components have to be filled individually? I also don't have the old compressor to measure what oil was in it.
Here are the oil capacities for replacement ac parts, if this info helps:
Total system capacity: 4 - 4.66 oz
Evaporator: 1.66 oz
Condenser: 0.66 oz
Hose line: 0.33 oz
Receiver Drier: 0.33 oz

Generally, no. Its not filled to the entire system capacity.
Follow your guide there and put the proper amount in each item.
Do not over do it or you risk reduced cooling performance and possible hydro lock.
